With the #metoo movement and changes to the Illinois Human Rights Act, employers with Illinois employees (and employees who do work in Illinois) have a lot to think about.  The new training requirements under the IHRA still must be completed by December 31, 2020, despite COVID-19.  All of it is intended to make clear that all employees are entitled to a professional and safe workplace that is free from hostile and toxic elements, including unwelcome sexual comments, conduct and harassment.

This training will provide you with an understanding of the IHRA sexual harassment training requirements, the acceptable formats, available resources and ways to increase awareness and modify behaviors in the workplace of employees and management. In particular, this training session will address the following:

§  Why should we work towards eliminating sexual harassment in the workplace?

§  Legal Basis of Sexual Harassment
o   Illinois law regarding Sexual Harassment Training
         o   Federal laws
         o

    §  Model Sexual Harassment policy

§  Model IHRA Sexual Harassment Training
